The nursery traded a professor at The University of Kentucky some Japanese larch for these cornus kosa in the mid 80’s.
Probably one of the best contorted beech in the country in an operating nursery.

Varder valley’s have, I think, the best winter color of the boxwoods.
The boxwoods in front are little leaf Korean. They have a reddish tone in the winter. They are just like Kentucky weather. If you don’t like it stick around they will change to a beautiful green.
Columnar eastern white pine.
An exceptional sarvis berry (also known as a service berry or a June berry.)
Mooni Taxus one of the best upright taxus.
Spreader taxus can be moved with a 60 inch tree spade. I find that a big house needs big plants. Not neccessarily slammed up on the house.
5 Inch White dogwood going to it’s permanent home.
Cornus mas. The earliest dogwood to bloom in the region.

A freak of nature, this hemlock is a natural globe shape, It has not been pruned or touched.
Should be a bumper crop of berries on the Black Gum and American Holly. The honey bees love the black gum blossoms.
The Cedar of Lebanon are starting to develop their cones.
Evergreens are doing well this year.
The nursery is still pretty green for Mid-August
Pruning is key to developing good form for your trees.
It’s easy to tell bald cypress and dawn redwood apart this time of year.
The nursery has a very nice dogwood seed crop this season.
